Villa v Fulham player ratings
Fulham reached the 40-point mark courtesy of Fabian Delph’s second-half own goal. Here’s how we rated the Whites players in the 1-1 draw at Villa Park.
Mark Schwarzer: 8
Marshalled his area very well and produced a number of quality saves, the pick of the bunch denying Charles N’Zogbia.
Sascha Riether: 8
Has been a little below par by his very high standards recently, but this was more like it. Riether was solid defensively and always willing to get forward and support Fulham’s midfield.
Philippe Senderos: 6
Inevitably given problems by Christian Benteke, but he stuck to his task and was decent enough.
Brede Hangeland: 7
Sloppy on the ball at times but atoned with some resolute defending, coming to his team’s rescue with a number of important challenges.
Kieran Richardson: 6
Had his hands full defensively but held his own and tried to get forward when possible.
Urby Emanuelson: 6
Clearly has potential, but is still adjusting to the English game and found the going tough in midfield.
Eyong Enoh: 5
All at sea. Poor passing and one dismal shot that seemed to typify his performance.
Giorgos Karagounis: 7
Did well before being taken off. Was solid in midfield and did an important job for a team clearly missing Steve Sidwell.
Bryan Ruiz: 7
Linked play very well and set up a chance for Dimitar Berbatov before delivering the corner which led to Fulham’s equaliser.
Dimitar Berbatov: 7
Unlucky with an effort that hit the post. Classy on the ball as always and held up play to good effect. His clever movement gave Villa big problems.
Stanislav Manolev: 6
Had a solid game after replacing Damien Duff early on. Offered good support to Riether.
Mladen Petric: 6
Made a welcome return as a second-half substitute and did well, although he missed a decent chance to score.
