Redknapp: ‘People probably think I’m mad, but I believe we can still do it’
QPR manager Harry Redknapp has told his players he still believes they have a realistic chance of avoiding relegation.
Recent defeats at Aston Villa and Fulham nudged Rangers closer to the drop but Redknapp insists they can still get enough points to stay in the Premier League.
“I had a good talk with them after the Fulham game. I still believe we can do it,” he said.
“That’s my honest belief. If I didn’t believe it, I wouldn’t say it. I still believe we can get out of trouble.
“I know no-one else does. People probably think I’m mad. But that’s what I believe. If we can win on Sunday we can still do it.
“We’ve got to win our home games. Fifteen points will get you out of it and that’s not impossible.
“While there’s still hope we’ve got to keep going. We’ve got to beat Wigan on Sunday and then see what happens from there.”
