Moore keen to help Bees’ promotion bid

On-loan Leicester City defender Liam Moore says he is relishing the challenge of trying to help Brentford get to the Championship.

The 19-year-old joined the Bees last month and has featured in their last three matches.

He has made 14 appearances for Leicester in the second tier and is hoping Brentford can reach that level.

“Everyone in the squad wants to get promoted – they’re desperate to play in the Championship,” he told West London Sport.

“My heart is at Leicester City – I’ve been there since I was seven years old – but football changes all the time and you have to keep your ears and eyes open for different challenges.

“Right now my eyes are on helping Brentford get promoted and it’s great to be playing games and helping them do that.”

He added: “We need to pick up as many points as we can and try not to end up in the play-offs. We want to go up automatically – that’s the aim.”
