Speculation that Abramovich may attempt to bring Mourinho back
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich could attempt to bring former Blues boss Jose Mourinho back to Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid, the Daily Mail suggest.
The club are reported to have tried and failed to secure Mourinho’s return last year.
And there is added speculation about who will take over as Chelsea manager in the summer now Pep Guardiola has agreed to join Bayern Munich.
Everton boss David Moyes is again touted as a possible contender, this time by The Independent.
Frank Lampard will delay signing any deal with LA Galaxy until he sees what offers come in from European clubs, the Daily Express say.
It is claimed the Chelsea star has had offers from Manchester United, Monaco and AC Milan.
A source is quoted as saying: “Frank is free to speak with other clubs. He is aware of strong interest from LA Galaxy and has expressed a desire to move to the United States.
“But he still believes he can do a job for someone in the Premier League and wants to take his time and see if any other offers come up.
“This is a big decision for Frank. It is probably the last move he will ever make in his playing career and he wants to make sure that it is the right one for him and his family.”
QPR will find out today if they have won an apparent battle to sign Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila, the Mail say.
It is claimed the 22-year-old Frenchman has had lucrative offers from Rubin Kazan and Zenit St Petersburg.
French newspaper L’Equipe has suggested that M’Vila will join Rubin Kazan on a four-year contract.
