Frustrated Allardyce bemoans West Ham’s ‘Achilles heel’
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce rued his side’s missed chances in the 1-1 draw at home to QPR.
The hosts dominated the game but needed Joe Cole’s second-half equaliser to secure a point.
Allardyce said: “Obviously it [missing chances] has unfortunately been our Achilles heel in recent weeks – more so away from home in fairness.
“We’re looking dejected, almost like we’ve lost, in the dressing room because we haven’t won the game.
“We couldn’t have created more opportunities to score more goals. However dominant we were in terms of stats, the one thing that matters is the score and that’s 1-1.
“We have to be massively frustrated and disappointed we haven’t made that performance into three points.
“It’s been a frustrating day for us but if you play like that you’ll win more than you don’t, believe me.”

Bit touchy arry!? Must have hit a nerve!?lol. Anyway, enough of that! Safe to say apart from first quater rangers were poor and spent the rest of the game retreating at pace and desperately defending! West Ham battered them for over an hour and only some brilliant goalkeeping kept them in the game! All we couldn’t do was score again! Hugely frustrating afternoon!
