Douglas: Club deserve Chelsea clash
Brentford midfielder Jonathan Douglas says an FA Cup clash with Chelsea is a fitting reward for the club’s fans and staff.
The Bees saw off Southend in the third-round replay at Griffin Park on Tuesday and set up a west London derby at home to the European Champions.
“We did it for everyone who works at the club and comes to watch us,” Douglas told West London Sport.
“The people who work behind the scenes here don’t get the credit they deserve – they’ve been fantastic.
“They work a lot harder than us, they’re here 24/7, working day in, day out. We’re not just winning for ourselves but for all these people too.”
