Boss Rosler hails Brentford’s resilience
Brentford boss Uwe Rosler admitted Bournemouth were the better team in the New Year’s Day stalemate at Griffin Park but praised his side for their resilience.
The Bees were put under immense pressure for large periods of the game but secured a 0-0 draw which extended their unbeaten run to 12 games.
Rosler said: “I have to compliment my whole team, mentality-wise, on how they dig in and don’t get beaten.
“I’m always asked about Harry Forrester when he scored a match-winning goal but today was the day to talk about players like him.
“He did a tremendous job for the team, tracking back, winning the ball – they all did.
“They really had to dig deep so that Bournemouth didn’t score because they’re a good side and they were better than us.
“But that is two draws against them this season and it’s not bad.”
