Liverpool v Fulham player ratings
Fulham’s 4-0 thrashing by Liverpool means they have now won only one of their last 10 matches. Here’s how we rated the players in their defeat at Anfield.
Mark Schwarzer: 5
Was left exposed as Liverpool piled forward but might have done better for the third goal, allowing Stewart Downing’s effort past him at the near post.
Sascha Riether: 7
Did pretty well on an otherwise dismal day for Fulham. Has proved to be a very good signing.
Brede Hangeland: 5
Given the runaround by Luis Suarez. Tends to struggle when games are stretched, as opposed to when Fulham get men behind the ball and he can dominate in the air.
Aaron Hughes: 5
Has had some dodgy games this season and this was one of them. Had a torrid time against Liverpool’s attack.
John Arne Riise: 5
Had a nightmare on his return to Anfield. Failed to contain Downing and should have been much tighter for the wide-man’s goal.
Askhan Dejagah: 6
Showed some promise. Quick, direct and could be a useful option during the second half of the season.
Chris Baird: 5
Worked hard but Fulham were totally overrun in midfield.
Giorgos Karagounis: 5
Still has class but this was not the game for him. A passenger throughout.
Kieran Richardson: 6
Started brightly and had a shot saved, but faded as the game wore on.
Alex Kacaniklic: 5
Struggled to make an impact before being replaced at half-time.
Dimitar Berbatov: 6
Neat and tidy and showed his usual class, but with little else going on around him he was always likely to struggle to create chances.
Hugo Rodallega: 6
Offered pace after being brought on at the break, but even by that stage the game was well beyond Fulham.
Kerim Frei: 6
Came off the bench to try and give Fulham some attacking impetus, but Liverpool were in total command by then.
