Benitez responds to Ferguson by insisting Manchester clubs can be caught
Interim manager Rafael Benitez has insisted that Chelsea can still catch Manchester United and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has suggested the fight for the title is already a two-horse race, arguing it is unlikely that both Manchester clubs – who play each other this weekend – will be caught.
But Benitez, whose team are third, said: “My view is very clear about this. We have to win against Sunderland and we will be closer to one of them.
“If we can be closer sooner rather than later then that’s better. I believe we will have our chances if we start winning games.”
