Chelsea face competition in race for Everton star – report
Russian club Zenit St Petersburg are looking to beat Chelsea to the signing of Everton star Marouane Fellaini, The Sun reports.
Chelsea have been tipped to move for the Belgian when the transfer window opens next month and Manchester City are also said to be interested.
Zenit, who paid a reported £32m to sign Fellaini’s international team-mate Axel Witsel from Benfica, expect to make more big-money buys.
And a Zenit source is quoted as saying: “The management expect to strengthen midfield. The signings will be of high quality.
“Marouane Fellaini is on the list. He has clearly proved himself for Everton.”
