Leeds boss Warnock has dig at QPR
Neil Warnock has told talkSPORT he believes QPR have ‘lost a bit of their soul’ under his successor Mark Hughes.
Warnock, now in charge at Leeds, was sacked by Rangers in January and replaced by Hughes, whose team are without a league win this season despite more heavy spending during the summer.
“It’s alright having good players but you’ve got to get them gelling and that’s not possible at the moment,” he said.
“I just think they’ve lost a little bit of the soul of the club with so many people coming from abroad, but that’s the manager’s choice.
“I felt three or four sensible signings would have been sufficient. I would have gone English to get that dressing room [together]. I thought it was a great dressing room.
“I suppose Mark has been used to foreign players and with the agents involved it’s easier to bring in foreign players but gelling them is a little bit more difficult, no matter how good they are.
“The results haven’t been good enough and they’ve got to turn it around because it would be a worry with the wage bill what it is now to carry on the second half of the season like they have done the first.”

Haha! What a laugh, had high respect for Warnock until now. He is known for being gobby for a reason. Very disappointed. Of course it takes time to gel, he points out what we all know already and tries to make Hughes look a mug for buying too many players and too many foreigners. We had no quality under Warnock and I for one are delighted with the playing staff. We’ll see who is smiling come end of season. With or without Hughes, I think he’ll ne still here ‘if I’m honest’ teehee!

Come back Sir Neil Warnock, he,s got more character in his little finger than the dour non smiling Mark Hughes, we lost most of the soul of our great club when Warnock left.
