Pressure is on Hughes but QPR ought to beat West Ham

QPR bowed out of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday and once again lucky is not an adjective you’d use to describe Mark Hughes’ side, who dominated for long periods.

West Ham are the visitors on Monday night as the R’s bid to gain that illusive first Premier League win of the season.

Rangers are 11/10 favourites with the draw at 5/2 and West Ham at 14/5. 

The Hammers are no great shakes to put it mildly and it will be an electric atmosphere at Loftus Road for a game Hughes’ men really ought to win.

Former West Ham man Bobby Zamora is 6/5 to be top Rangers league goalscorer with Djibril Cisse 5/2 this season and the hope is they will be in the goals on Monday.

Zamora is 11/2 to grab the opener (6/4 anytime) with Cisse 5/1 to score first.

Three points will calm the nerves and this QPR squad is too good to be fighting a relegation battle – but the table doesn’t lie.
