Campbell looks likely to rejoin Blackpool
Out-of-favour QPR striker DJ Campbell appears to have moved a step closer to a return to Blackpool on loan.
Blackpool’s former R’s boss Ian Holloway has been trying to thrash out a deal for Campbell, who left the Championship club to move to Loftus Road in July last year.
Campbell’s current wages meant Holloway was initially doubtful he would be able to land the 30-year-old, but by Monday night an agreement seemed to be in place.
Rangers recently accepted a bid from Bristol City for Campbell but he was reluctant to sign for them, while Watford have also shown some interest.
He told West London Sport: “I’m looking at all the possibilities before I decide what’s best for me.
“My focus has been on getting fit and making sure I’m ready to play this season.
“Last year I missed a lot of the season through injury and I don’t want that to happen again, so I’ve worked really hard to get in the best shape I can be.”
