Mladen Petric scored on his Fulham debut after Damien Duff put the home side ahead.

Duff slotted home John Arne Riise’s through-ball on 26 minutes before Croatian international Petric’s header crossed the line on the stroke of half-time.

Martin Jol also handed a debut to defender Sascha Riethe, with Hugo Rodellega on the bench.

Bryan Ruiz joined Petric up front in place of Clint Dempsey, who was left out after Jol admitted yesterday the striker wishes to leave Craven Cottage this summer.
