Sturridge ‘feeling a little better’, while Spurs are tipped to sell Modric
Tottenham are finally ready to sell Luka Modric, who is still wanted by Chelsea, according to the Daily Mirror.
Spurs have been linked with a host of players following the appointment of former Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas as manager at White Hart Lane.
And it is claimed that Croatian playmaker Modric, who has been widely tipped to move this summer, will leave in order to fund new signings.
Chelsea tried in vain to sign him in January. Real Madrid and both Manchester clubs are also said to be interested.
Meanwhile, Daniel Sturridge is inevitably in the headlines following the news that he is suffering from suspected meningitis.
The Chelsea forward, 22, has been treated at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, where his condition is being assessed.
A friend of Sturridge is quoted by The Sun as saying: “The family have obviously been very concerned and worried.
“Thankfully he’s been feeling a little bit better over the last 24 hours and everyone is hoping that’s a positive sign.
“But the full facts won’t be known until the results of all the tests are back and have been examined by the experts.”
And Paris St Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed reports he is keen to sign John Terry from Chelsea.
French media quote him as saying: “We are looking for a central defender and the club is in contact with some players, but not John Terry.”

It seems Levy is afraid to let Modrid play against his team in EPL or else didn’t want to make business with chelsea. Whatever his new manager also want to add in his rank one of the chelsea commodity in person of sturridge….so is business, get ready for a swap. (((IBRAHIM ALI)))

Amazing! Some of you talk so much rubbish. It is good that you like EPL but most of you have no idea of the culture of the EPL and look so stupid when you talk… “change the chick” what foolishness is that? Spurs would thrash ANY team in the NPL and talking about chickens, Spurs would thrash the super Chickens (eagles) too, just like the Black Stars keep doing!!!!

cookiebun, if you think for one second that Chelsea have friends at the Mirror or any other tabloid, you’re sadly mistaken, you should know we’re media hated. Otherwise, you’re probably correct, they do guess, speculate and clutch from their supposedly reliable but conveniently unnamed sources. You may well keep Modric and good luck to you.

Complete rubbish about Spurs now ready to sell Modric. The low class press have been trying to sell of Spurs main players for sometime, making up story after story as they go along. Last Summer the press got egg on their faces witht the Modric to Chelsea saga and I wont at all be surprised if the get a double helping again this Summer.
With 4 years remaining on his contract, Modric hasnt got a leg to stand on and Daniel Levy holds all the aces. All we hear in the press is that Modric is wanted by every Tom, Dick and Harry, speculative bull as per usual, nothing from the player (mind you, his command of the English language is very poor), nothing from Daniel Levy so the little boys in the press have no alternative than to make it all up.

The silly chick in spuds’ crest the major thing that has irritated Modric. To retain him there, spuds need to kill the kill the chick, turn thursday matches on channel 5 to competitive football and get their benchmark trophy(Carling cup). Get well Sturridge.

If villa boa refuse to sell modric his going to face unhappy team that could possibly thwart his effort again so he better let modric go and get a better replacement for him ! This is the time to prove urself a good coach u are lucky to get this opportunity don’t thwart it or u are doom in ur Career .

Modric will not be sold. This is just the Mirror trying to get a momentum going in the market for their friends at Chelski and getting even on Tottenham for sacking their mouthpiece.
Tottenham Hotspur is now so secured from the gossip mongers that they have to guess what is going to happen and they end up completely wrong with their speculative guesses.
