Alex Iwobi scored twice as Fulham won at Craven Cottage and moved up to sixth in the Premier League table.

Carlos Belba scored a second-half equaliser for Brighton after Iwobi had netted an early opener.

But the Whites’ lead was restored when the recalled Andreas Pereira, on as a substitute, whipped in a corner and former Fulham youngster Matt O’Riley deflected the ball into his own net.

And Iwobi added a superb third to seal the win.

In a match played in awful conditions because of heavy rain and strong winds, Fulham were gifted the lead by a horrendous error from keeper Bart Verbruggen.

Iwobi intercepted Verbruggen’s attempted pass to Baleba and slotted into an unguarded net.

Baleba hauled the Seagulls level by firing past keeper Bernd Leno after being teed up by Joao Pedro’s clever touch.

Fulham then enjoyed a slice of good fortune, but there was nothing lucky about Iwobi’s fine second goal – he turned his man and sent a fabulous strike into the net.
