Frank remains convinced Toney will stay at Brentford

Thomas Frank remains convinced that Ivan Toney will stay at Brentford this month.

Arsenal are among clubs keen on the striker, who will return to action this weekend after serving an eight-month ban for breaching betting regulations.

Bees boss Frank has long insisted that the club have no intention of selling their talisman during the January transfer window.

And, speaking on Friday at his pre-match press conference on the eve of the visit of Nottingham Forest, Frank said there have so far been no offers made for Toney.

Frank added: “As I said earlier in these conferences, it’s 99% that he will stay here.

“Football is crazy, you never know what will happen tomorrow. But he’s committed to helping the team. That’s all that’s on his mind – he wants to stay here, he wants to help the team.”

Frank also confirmed that Toney will start against Forest and will be captain.
