QPR youngster Rendall set for loan move
QPR youngster Trent Rendall is set to join non-League Eastleigh on a month’s loan.
The 21-year-old defender, previously known as Trent Mahorn, has not made a competitive appearance for the Rangers first team but did feature during pre-season.
As the first-team squad prepared for a lunchtime departure to Middlesbrough for tomorrow’s game at the Riverside Stadium, no approaches had been made about any players ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline.
Rangers would like to add to their squad before the transfer window closes at 11pm, and a number of potential late deals have been looked into.
The club want a right-back and also remain interested in re-signing striker Chris Martin and potentially another loan deal for Jamal Lowe – but on Thursday evening Lowe appeared to be set to move elsewhere.
Lowe was on loan at Loftus Road from Bournemouth last season.
Martin has been without a club since his short-term deal ended earlier this summer. As he is a free agent he could be signed after the window closes.
