QPR miss out on midfielder Power
QPR have missed out on the signing of midfielder Max Power.
The 29-year-old is leaving Wigan, where his contract has been terminated by mutual consent.
His departure following the Latics’ relegation from the Championship had been expected and Rangers boss Gareth Ainsworth was keen to sign him.
However, Power has opted to join Saudi Arabian second-tier side Al-Qadsiah, who are managed by former Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler.
Ainsworth wants to bolster his midfield options this summer and Rangers are now looking at other potential signings.
There is interest in Lewis Wing, who is currently a free agent after his contract at Ainsworth’s former club Wycombe expired.

These comments probably explain why the board has outsourced DofF recruitment .

I agree with Steve Robinson.
I genuinely don’t know why he was made manager. An ex player who was okay at best, but his pedigree for the championship is getting relegated only, for a full season. When he took over us with 13 games to go, we were lucky to have most of the points already, that were needed to stay up, but the shocking form we showed in those games was relegation form only, if continued over a season.
I can only assume that he’s trying to get players from lower divisions, so that when we get relegated, we already have players from that league 🙁
I still think they made the wrong choice when getting rid of Warnock & haven’t learned since. We got Warburton in & he steadied everything & got the most out of the wannabes in the club & yet, they let him go too.
I’ll happily accept I was wrong if Ainsworth does well this season, but every factual thing I know about him, tells me that we could be relegated & I don’t think he’ll survive the whole season.

Yes, it looks like we are aspiring to stay exactly where we are now – mid to lower table side at best. Its a great pity that the squad doesnt match the training facilities, so more of the same for the foreseeable future in store. Where are the stars of the future hiding? Where will our current stars (?) end up playing? – I can see relegation just around the corner unless a few gems turn up quickly. I think Steve is not too far off the mark with his comment.

No great loss – he preferred the money trail over ambition.

With any luck we’ll just keep missing out on his targets. I heard Dominic Gape is training with Stockport.
