Fulham sixth after dramatic win at Brighton

Brighton 0 Fulham 1

Manor Solomon scored a late winner for Fulham at the Amex Stadium to move Fulham into the top six of the Premier League.

The Israel international, who came on a substitute eight minutes from time, netted four minutes later to hand the Whites an unlikely victory after Brighton had dominated the match for long periods.

Marco Silva’s side, who were without leading scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic, were unable to get out of their own half for most of the first half as the home side laid siege to their goal.

Bernd Leno saved well from Joel Veltman and Evan Ferguson and then denied Argentina World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister fierce shot from the edge of the box.

The second half followed a similar pattern with Brighton having two goals disallowed for offside with Solly March and Facundo Buonanotte denied by the assistant referee’s flag.

With the game looking to be petering out for a draw, Solomon, who scored his first goal for the club against Nottingham Forest last week, was put clear by Carlos Vinicius and finished emphatically past Roberto Carlos.
