Chelsea complete deal to sign Felix

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix.

The 23-year-old Portugal international has moved to Stamford Bridge on loan for the rest of the season for a fee close to £10m.

It is with a view to a possible permanent move, although he has signed a one-year extension to his Atletico deal and is now under contract there until June 2027.

“Chelsea is one of the great teams in the world and I hope to help the team reach their objectives,” he said.

“I am very, very happy to be here and very excited to play at Stamford Bridge.”
