Juve hoping to tempt Chelsea man to Turin – report
Juventus are hoping to persuade Didier Drogba to join them in the summer, the Daily Mirror report.
Drogba has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge when his Chelsea contract expires at the end of the season and has been strongly linked with a move to China.
But Juve are said to be keen to sign the striker and are also apparently interested in Robin van Persie, Carlos Tevez and Luiz Suarez.
The Daily Telegraph suggest that Roy Hodgson is looking to broker peace talks between Rio Ferdinand and Chelsea’s John Terry.
Asked about the issue at his unveiling as England’s new manager, Hodgson commented: “I’ll have to get in touch with John and Rio to speak with them, hopefully face to face, and find out where they are in this situation.
“John and Rio, as respected members of the team, are going to be two I need to speak to. I’ll have to speak to as many senior players as I can.”
Meanwhile, Fulham are battling Norwich and Swansea for the signing of Nottingham Forest defender Chris Gunter, according to the Daily Star.
The Wales international, who is said to be rated at £2m, has been linked with a move from Forest several times in recent months, with a number of clubs reported to be interested.
Fulham and Newcastle are both eyeing Raul, according to Spanish media reports. The 34-year-old former Spain striker is leaving German club Schalke.
