Several candidates as QPR look to install new manager
QPR could install a new manager by the end of next week.
Rangers are looking for a replacement for Mark Warburton, having decided not to renew his contract.
The club want to appoint an up-and-coming manager with a background in developing young players.
Newport County’s James Rowberry, 37, and MK Dons’ Liam Manning, 36, fit that bill and are among those of interest.
Karl Robinson is also under consideration and there is support among the Rangers hierarchy for Gareth Ainsworth.
Oxford United boss Robinson, 41, was previously considered by QPR and is again a potential candidate.
Former R’s winger Ainsworth, 49, is a hugely popular figure among fans and has spent almost 10 years as manager of Wycombe, who face Sunderland in the League One play-off final on Saturday.
A win at Wembley would see Ainsworth take the Chairboys into the Championship for the second time.
Several coaches from outside the UK have expressed an interest in the position.
Neither Sol Campbell nor Tim Sherwood, who have both been strongly linked with the job, are in the running.

I expected Beale to say I want money for a new Striker and I will stay at QPR, if not I am leaving and going back where I came from, thay can offer me Euro football and lot more than QPR.
So that is the situation the new Manager should push for or blood the young Striker we have, who could make or break his future at such a young age.
Your spending millions on a new building at the Training ground which is good but you can’t win football games with a building, you need a Striker, you had one on loan who did the business, he left and you have not replaced him, just plodded on with a make do attack and two outstanding players in Willock and Chair.

If a contract is running down surely an individual’s intensity and effort kicks in to get noticed not the opposite. Why he dropped first team players for the Peterborough cup game was a mistake and that started the rot.

No mention of the Assistant Manager getting the Managers job.
He knows our players, he knows the players he is up against home or away and he looks the part to step up.
He needs to be considered.

Sell the club to billionaires that want to spend money, not the ones we got who don’t, We will always be a small club until we get financial backing. Sorry Les, you don’t know what your doing, Warburton must of ruffled feathers as he did good but needed a bit more financial backing. A change is require board !

Warbs did OK really, what more could he have done with what he was given. Whoever comes in will have to operate under the same conditions. But Sherwood or Cambell – really?

Warberton was unlucky if he had had is good run at the end of tbe season insted of the middle they would habe been delighted where they finished. They were tipped.for a relegation fight at the start of the season

The stated timeline is interesting from the point of view that delaying until then allows Ainsworth’s progress with Wycombe at the Play Offs to be taken into consideration. That makes me wonder whether Gareth is the preferred candidate…. For what it is worth, I would want someone who continues the Warburton style of football, and I do not think that is Gareth Ainsworth?

Ainsworth or Barton – not much to choose between them for me, both are miles better then DoF – get rid and quickly. As far as Warbs is concerned, he brought it on himself being over obstinate. You cannot beat the hand that feeds you forever, eventually you get a slap. Whoever takes charge, it needs to be someone well out of the reach of QPR, so mediocrity will remain the priority – business as usual in the future as far as I can see. Fans continue to be expected to pay without any say. I can hear it now “You will get what you’re given” or “We cant afford any more” then theres “He;s a top, top manager with proven experience”.

The money we want to pay we won’t get a manager of Warburtons’ quality. Ainsworth plays the long ball game. I don’t think we will get a manager we like until we win more games. Better alternative is to put the club up for sale and get people who want to move upwards . A good clean out is required, Hoos , Les and all.

As long as we don’t see any more of spurs castoffs, Les ferdinand must have shares in their club to keep pushing their crap onto our team.

Warburton was made a scape goat for the short comings of the board. This club is nothing but dreamers with its idle promises, bottom line we need a bigger stadium and quality players if we can’t do that then stay as a championship side because we’re not good enough for the Premier

I Do think that the board of directors and chairman of the club are listening to the fans they just want to get any old crap English manager in who knows fuck all about football dass ist shitten ja und team needs organising so it needs a German manager either dainel farke or Daniel stendel or luigi di canio or Michael loud drop theses are the managers that club needs to look at as they can also get youth professionals player in the 1st team.

Reading between the lines, it seems like the Directors are trying to pressure the Manager to use up and coming players regardless of the Manager saying NO.
IF A DIRECTOR WANTS THE MANAGERS JOB AS WELL AS HIS OWN JOB, WE GIVE YOU THE THUMBS DOWN.
I WATCHED ONE OR TWO UP AND COMING PLAYER AND THEY WERE SUB-STANDARD.
YOU DID WRONG PUSHING Warburton out, he had 11 first team players injured, how do you expect him to win games with second rate subs.
To be a Director Les, you need to know how to direct correctly, and you failed.

If he can be dragged away from Wycombe Gareth ainsworth would be my choice.
What he has achieved at Wycombe is amazing. Working within a small budget bringing younger players into the squad& using loan player’s. I can’t see much difference between ourselves
