Odubajo a ‘class act’, says Warburton
QPR boss Mark Warburton believes Moses Odubajo has the attributes to play at the highest level.
The former Brentford man was excellent in Rangers’ 2-1 win at Luton on Sunday.
He joined Rangers on a 12-month deal following an injury-plagued five years that had threatened his career.
Odubajo was a key part of the Hull side that was promoted in 2016, forming a defence that also included Harry Maguire and Andy Robertson, but never got the chance to play in the Premier League after picking up a serious knee injury in pre-season that kept him out for two years.
After a spell back at Brentford and a move to Sheffield Wednesday, Odubajo reunited with his former boss Warburton last summer.
Despite an up-and-down start to his Rangers career, he has been in fine form recently, playing significant roles in goals against Blackpool, Hull and Cardiff in addition to hisstrong display at Kenilworth Road.
“I keep telling people they don’t realise how good Moses Odubajo is,” Warburton said.
“He’s fought back through injury and you see things like the two deliveries he’s created for recent assists and a ball he whipped in in the second half today with great quality.
“Mo is quick, he’s strong, he negated their threat on their left. He is a class act and if he can keep himself fit he is a top-quality player.”
Matchwinner Rob Dickie, who scored the vital goal to secure the three points and catapult his side back up to fourth spot, believes the victory can kick-start Rangers’ push for promotion with just 10 games of the season remaining.
“It was a really important goal. We knew we were capable of coming away from here with three points and are so pleased to have done so,” Dickie said.
“We have had an obvious dip in form with results and we have had to come through a tough patch for all of us.
“But we showed some real character coming here today and getting the three points.
“We have put ourselves in a real good position going into the last 10 games and we just need to push on from this and get back to the form we showed earlier in the season.
“We like to think we are more than capable of going up to Forest on Wednesday and getting a result and finishing the season really strong.”

Dave Robinson….we did not play “poorly”. I don’t know what you expect against a worthy in-form opponent away from home! First half was OK apart from goalkeeping error..second half we were in control and dangerous Luton hardly got a kick.

Happy to win 3 points but like so many of our results it was down to luck & this week it went our way. We cannot continue to play as poorly as this & expect to make the playoffs
