QPR suffer cup defeat at Peterborough
A goal in either half saw Championship strugglers Peterborough end QPR’s involvement in the FA Cup for another season.
Rangers dominated much of the game but found themselves a goal down after 25 minutes when keeper David Marshall’s poor attempt to deal with a back-pass led to a quick throw-in that the visitors failed to clear and Joe Ward drilled the ball home from close range via a deflection.
Moses Odubajo, Ilias Chair and Lyndon Dykes all went close to equalising before half-time.
Substitute Albert Adomah almost scored with his first touch straight after half-time but Benda turned away his effort, before Chair hit the bar from a free-kick.
Rangers continued to push for an equaliser but lost their rhythm somewhat when boss Mark Warbuton took off the influential Stefan Johansen and Chair for George Thomas and Andre Dozzell – and they always looked susceptible on the break.
Posh then sealed their place in the fifth round 15 minutes from time when Jade Jones was allowed to make headway down the left and curled the ball past the flat-footed Marshall from just inside the box to consign Rangers to a second defeat at the Weston Homes Stadium this season.
QPR: Marshall, Odubajo. Dickie, Dunne, Sanderson, Wallace (Adomah 45), Johansen (Dozzell 70), Amos (Hendrick 45), Chair (Thomas 70), Austin, Dykes.

Gray just couldn’t help himself – posting pics of his wife on holiday on social media, I hope he doesn’t fall into the same trap as John Terry a few years back.

Obviously missing a player or two – surely not Gray or, er, Willock anyone?
