Warburton praises players after QPR draw
QPR manager Mark Warburton felt his team deserved credit for picking up a point in a tough match against Blackpool.
Rangers drew 1-1 at Bloomfield Road, having won 1-0 at Cardiff in midweek.
They go into the international break sixth in the Championship table.
Warburton said: “It’s a very tough place to come and I think many teams will struggle here.
“It’s four points from six from two tough away trips in a very short period of time.
“It’s been a difficult few days but we’ve seen a lot of character, quality, desire and hunger displayed by the players, who deserve credit.
“Hopefully now we can recharge over the international break.”
But Warburton was annoyed by the equaliser Rangers conceded after Chris Willock had put them ahead.
After Yoann Barbet failed to deal with a diagonal ball, keeper Seny Dieng brought down Jordan Gabriel and Gary Madine stuck away the resulting penalty.
“We got the goal but frustration for us – we had a heated discussion – because it’s a soft goal to then give away,” Warburton admitted.
“It’s a mistake. We needed to deal with it much, much better.”

The number of times Blackpool had all players back in their own half was just like the Cardiff game.
QPR have a reputation by the look of it of being able the run the middle of the park and then damage you with a goal.
Cut that off and you stand a chance, so what is the plan, go down the wing and cross the ball.
Does not always come off.
Don’t take this the wrong way, QPR are not good enough for promotion yet, so let’s keep building for that day.
Starting to look at the Strikers who don’t strike.
