Warburton lining McCallum up for QPR debut at Orient
Mark Warburton says Sam McCallum was left out of the squad for QPR’s draw with Millwall as a precaution because of “muscle tightness” and is being lined up for his debut on Wednesday.
McCallum, a summer signing on loan from Norwich, was expected to be on the Rangers bench for Saturday’s derby.
Manager Warburton decided not to include him but intends to select the youngster for the Carabao Cup tie at Leyton Orient.
“Sam has muscle tightness. Nothing serious – nothing worthy of a scan or anything,” Warburton explained.
“He just felt a little bit of tightness, so it was more precautionary on my part.
“I’m looking for Sam to be involved in some capacity against Leyton Orient.
“You don’t want to put him in there early and push him unnecessarily. Hopefully he’ll be in for training on Monday.”

I guess a draw on Saturday against Millwall gets us 1 point along with 10 other teams in the Championship, which means QPR are in joint 6th place with 10 other clubs, so we are in the playoff position we wanted.
Can’t do much about the alphabetical situation unless we change our name to AQPR.
Two good goals, shame 1 was for Millwall who played well. Stopped us playing through the middle and never heard from the Strikers.
Food for thought.
