QPR confirm signing of youngster Adarkwa

QPR have confirmed the signing of youngster Sean Adarkwa.

West London Sport revealed in April that Adarkwa, 20, was having a trial with the R’s with a view to him signing when his West Ham contract expired this summer.

Rangers announced on Tuesday that he has signed a one-year deal. He will initially play for the club’s development side.

Adarkwa did not make a first-team appearance for West Ham but had been a regular for their Under-23 team.

He was originally a winger but in recent seasons has operated as a centre-forward.

Meanwhile, QPR are expected to complete the signing of goalkeeper Jordan Archer in the next 24 hours.

The Scotland international’s move to west London has paved the way for Liam Kelly to join Motherwell.

Rangers want a right-back to replace Todd Kane, a left-back and are still looking to agree a deal with Fulham for the permanent signing of Stefan Johansen.

That deal was always likely to be protracted and has been further delayed by a change of manager at Fulham, who recently installed Marco Silva following Scott Parker’s departure for Bournemouth.

Kane will be replaced by Moses Odubajo if the former Brentford man, who is training with Rangers, proves his fitness.
