QPR assessing Dieng ahead of Norwich game
QPR were on Friday morning assessing Seny Dieng to confirm he is fit enough to return to the side against Norwich on Saturday.
Dieng was suspended for Tuesday’s win at Swansea but would have missed the game in any case as he suffered a broken nose before being sent off at Middlesbrough last weekend.
The goalkeeper is hoping to return to action against the Canaries.
Manager Mark Warburton explained: “It depends how he reports this morning. We’ll wait and see how he is.”
Jordy de Wijs, who has missed two matches since himself suffering a broken nose, is expected to rejoin the squad.
But Geoff Cameron looks unlikely to return as he is still nursing a knock.
Cameron missed the three recent away matches, against Boro, Swansea and Rotherham, and Warburton hoped the American would return for the Norwich game.
Warburton said: “It’s probably a bit too soon for Geoff. It’ll be a couple of days or so.
“Other than that we’re in pretty good shape. To come through those three tough away games as we are I think speaks volumes about the medical team and the work that’s been done.”
Meanwhile, Warburton has dismissed reports he is about to sign a new contract.
But Lee Wallace has earned a new deal.

If Norwich take there foot off the pedal by the odd pass or defense mistake, that is all it will take to win this one, they know it, the boss has told them, keep the pressure on and play at high tempo, watch out for the offside trap, you left the door open once or twice.
Bobs your uncle 1 – 0 or 3 – 2.
Put your best team out there against the best team in the division and lets see what the boys are made off.
