QPR owner tells Liverpool chief: You let everyone down
QPR owner Ruben Gnanalingam has told John W Henry he “let everyone down” by signing up for the European Super League.
Rangers’ majority shareholder posted on Twitter in response to an apology issued by Liverpool owner Henry, who has faced stinging criticism this week.
Outrage at the controversial proposals have led to Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal withdrawing from the ESL after initially agreeing to join.

Henry’s apology to Liverpool fans and players as well as manager Jurgen Klopp has been met with a mixed response, with many arguing that the so-called Big Six should still face sanctions.
On a lighter note, QPR chairman Amit Bhatia joked on Twitter that the six clubs should be demoted from the Premier League along with three teams in the relegation zone, with nine Championship clubs being promoted.
That would leave Rangers on course for a return to the top flight after Tuesday’s win at Swansea lifted them from 10th to eighth in the table.

So there’s a dozen owners in Europe who seemingly were unable to see past their cheque books and only saw lots of $’s from the states, did they REALLY believe games played in a league where it doesnt matter whether you win or lose OR get never relegated would appeal to the paying public? did they also believe that assuming the first team played in the super league mid week, that the fans would still stream into the stadiums to watch the reserves have a kickabout during weekends? Obviously – yes.

At least he had the guts to apologise which is more than the others have done so far. I agree, they all should be relegated and replaced with the top end of the Championship, what was good enough for Glasgow Rangers all those years ago is certainly good enough for them.
