QPR’s Amos ‘on track’ with recovery from injury

Luke Amos remains on course to return at the start of next season, according to QPR manager Mark Warburton.

Amos, who recently turned 24, was sidelined in October by the second cruciate injury of his career.


Surgery appeared to go well and the former Tottenham midfielder’s rehabilitation is going to plan.

Warburton said: “He’s on track. His surgeon’s very happy and Luke’s still targeting a return to pre-season training.”

Meanwhile, Charlie Owens is also working his way back from cruciate damage, having suffered setbacks since being sidelined in August 2019.

Owens, 23, sustained the injury after impressing in Carabao Cup appearances for the R’s.

Warburton explained: “Charlie Owens is out on the grass but he’s been through 18-20 months and three major operations, so we’ve got to make sure we give him time. He’s on track, but it takes time.”
