De Wijs in QPR squad for Bristol City game
Jordy de Wijs could be in line to make his QPR debut at Bristol City on Saturday.
The Dutch defender, who signed on loan from Hull with view to a permanent move in January, has yet to feature since arriving in London because of a calf injury he picked up in training.
But after featuring in two recent Under-23s fixtures, Rangers boss Mark Warburton said the 26-year-old former PSV Eindhoven trainee will travel with the squad to Ashton Gate.
“He’ll be in the squad. We had to get him in. He had a nasty soleus injury, which is always niggly,” said Warburton.
“Lee Wallace had it earlier this season. It’s the lower part of the calf which is so difficult to get right and can invariably carry on for longer than you would hope for.
“He’s been out for a frustrating time, But he has had a good 45 minutes then 75 and there has been no reaction to it.
“He’s trained well and will be in the squad tomorrow.”

It’s great to have him fit & pushing for selection. We have slipped in our defensive responsibility of late.
Maybe it’s time to give Kelman a chance from the start. He can’t sit on the bench forever.
