Brentford manager wants cup run
Boss Uwe Rosler has insisted that the Carling Cup is hugely important to Brentford.
Rosler is set to make changes for Tuesday’s first-round match at Hereford, with Charlie MacDonald – a second-half substitute at the weekend – set to start.
A number of other players who did not make the starting line-up for Saturday’s League One opener against Yeovil are also likely to be involved at Edgar Street, but Rosler is adamant he is treating the match very seriously.
“There will be changes, but let me be clear that the competition is very important indeed to us,” said the German.
“It’s important to me, to the players and to the club. I really want us to have a good run in the cup competitions this season.”
