Parker expects Fulham departures – and maybe loan signings
Scott Parker expects to show the Fulham exit door to a number of players in the January transfer window – but reckons any incomers will be loans rather than buys.
Stefan Johansen has already spoken of his desire to leave, and with fellow midfielders Kevin McDonald, Jean Michel-Seri, defender Maxime Le Marchand – the latter pair costing a total £25m at the beginning of 2018-19 – all but left in the cold, the head coach is hoping to clear the decks.
Chances are he will loan out midfielder Josh Onomah in order to give the midfielder game time after his return from injury.
“I think some people need to leave the football club,” the head coach said.
“We have a lot of players and it’s a big squad, and there are players who want to play.
“If we’re going to get anyone, it’s more likely to be a loan.”
