Brentford injury problems remain ahead of Boro clash
Brentford will be without Mads Bech Sorensen again for Saturday’s game against Middlesborough with the Danish defender still struggling with a knee injury.
The centre-half sat out Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Swansea with Charlie Goode set to keep his place in the team against Neil Warnock’s side.
Bees manager Thomas Frank is hopeful a number of his walking wounded will all be fit after the international break, with midfielder Christian Norgaard returning to light training this week following the ankle injury he sustained in last month’s 4-2 home defeat by Preston.
Skipper Pontus Jansen (hamstring) and Mads Roerslev (foot) are also unavailable to face sixth-placed Boro.
“We are the same squad that played Swansea, Mads Bech is still out, Christian, Pontus, Mads Roerslev and Sheldon Baptiste are all out,” Frank said.
“We hope we can have a good push into the international break and then hopefully we can regroup and reshape and the injured guys are closer to the team.
“Every day counts in terms of getting the guys back but Pontus is in a good place, Christian is in a good place and Mads should be back for the Wycombe game.
“I am not sure if Pontus and Christian will be 100 per cent for that game but it is looking like it could be a possibility.
“Mads Roerslev is getting closer but won’t be available for Wycombe.”
