Bees face competition for first-choice Benrahma replacement
Brentford could face competition from Cologne for the signing of Robin Hack.
West London Sport revealed last month that Nuremberg winger Hack, 21, is the Bees’ first-choice replacement for Said Benrahma should the Algerian be sold this summer.
Talks have taken place with Nuremberg about a potential deal, but a number of German clubs have enquired about Hack and it appears that Cologne’s interest in him is strong.
West Ham look set to table a bid for Benrahma.
The Hammers identified Benrahma and Ebere Eze as key summer targets but missed out on Eze, who joined Crystal Palace from QPR.
David Moyes has been told he needs to sell before he can spend in the transfer market.
And he is on course to offload Grady Diangana, with a deal having been agreed with West Brom for the forward.
That would pave the way for West Ham boss Moyes to add to his squad and he is expected to make a move for Benrahma, who has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Those clubs include Aston Villa, who have long been keen on Benrahma and his Brentford team-mate Ollie Watkins.
Brentford would want a sizeable fee for Benrahma, who has been a revelation since arriving in west London from Nice two years ago.

Come on Villa don’t miss out again Wilson, Watkins, and Benrahma and with Matt cash already signed that will do us,
If I’m right that’s 16 m for cash 20 m for Wilson 20 m for Benrahma and 25 m for Watkins that’s a total of 81 mil so 19 m left for a goal keeper if really needed, and yes I know that Brentford are now asking 28 m for Watkins but I believe we could get him for less if we would just get on with it . We are about to loose out on Benrahma to West Ham by the looks of it, why would we let that happen, Strikers And a quality winger are a top priority and Why aren’t we addressing that, too much talk and not enough action as is usual. At this rate we will be starting with no strikers which will be an out and out disaster
