Ramage heads to Palace on loan

QPR have agreed to loan Peter Ramage to Crystal Palace for a month.

Ramage is looking to build up his sharpness after spending most of last season out with a knee injury.

The 27-year-old is expected to be included in Palace’s squad for their Championship opener against Peterborough on Saturday.

Signed from Newcastle on a Bosman free transfer in 2008, Ramage faced an uncertain future when his contract was about to expire at the end of last season.

He was subsequently given a one-year deal following a successful return to fitness, but is well down the pecking order of defenders at Loftus Road.
