‘My head was in Paris’ admits rejuvenated QPR star
The Daily Mirror reports that Adel Taarabt has admitted his failure to secure a move to Paris St-Germain last summer affected his early-season form.
QPR discussed a deal with the Qatari owners of the French club and Taarabt was led to believe an agreement was close.
But PSG coach Leonardo did not want the player and he ended up back at Loftus Road.
“I was hurt early in the season because my head was in Paris,” Taarabt said.
“With Paris it was done. I was already in Paris where I met with the Qataris. But the arrival of Leonardo blocked things.”
Several papers mention QPR’s promise to impose a lifetime ban on anyone found to have thrown a coin during Saturday’s victory over Arsenal.
