Sassuolo interested in Kenedy loan deal

Italian club Sassuolo are interested in signing Kenedy ahead of Monday’s European transfer deadline.

Kenedy’s first-team prospects at Chelsea continue to look limited and the Blues are open to letting him leave.

And Sassuolo are looking at the possibility of taking the Brazilian on a season-long loan.

They have made enquiries about him after their left-back Rogerio suffered an injury during a recent game against Torino.

His Chelsea contract is due to expire next year and the club have frequently looked to extend the contracts of their youngsters and fringe players before sending them out on loan.

Kenedy, 23, spent last season and the second half of the previous campaign on loan at Newcastle.

He has made just five Premier League starts for Chelsea since being signed from Fluminense in 2015.
