Blanc ‘not high on Chelsea’s list’

France boss Laurent Blanc is not among the main contenders for the Chelsea manager’s job, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Blanc has been touted as an emerging candidate in recent days but a Stamford Bridge source has told The Telegraph he is not high on the club’s list of targets.

Instead, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is believed to be determined to pursue Pep Guardiola.

The paper understands that Abramovich’s advisers have opened a dialogue with Guardiola’s representatives to establish the Barcelona coach’s intentions at the end of this season.

Meanwhile, reports in Raul Meireles’ native Portugal suggest Juventus are lining up a £9m bid for the Chelsea midfielder.
