QPR v Nottingham Forest player ratings

QPR suffered an 11th home league defeat of a miserable season, going down 1-0 against Nottingham Forest. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player.

Joe Lumley: 7

Did well to deflect Karim Ansarifard’s effort on to the bar and then react quickly to prevent the Forest striker getting to the rebound. Was unable to rescue his team when the next chance came Ansarifard’s way though.

Darnell Furlong: 5

His dip in form continued with another unconvincing display at right-back. Played Ansarifard onside when he was caught out by a clever Joe Lolley pass in the first half, but Lumley prevented a goal.

Geoff Cameron: 5

Useful playing the ball out from defence but always looked beatable when left one-versus-one. Turned by Lolley in the first half, resulting in a chance for Ansarifard. Lumley saved again.

Toni Leistner: 6

Had a solid enough game at the back.

Ryan Manning: 7

Won plenty of challenges and delivered a couple of excellent crosses.

Bright Osayi-Samuel: 6

Far from the finished article but is exciting to watch when running at defenders. Worried Forest with his pace and directness.

Massimo Luongo: 6

Fought hard in midfield and sent a long-range strike narrowly wide in the second half.

Josh Scowen: 7

A very decent performance. Used the ball well and delivered set pieces effectively in the absence of the rested Luke Freeman.

Ebere Eze: 6

Drifted in and out of the game. Tested keeper Costel Pantilimon with a powerful long-range strike.

Lewis Walker: 6

Gave a good account of himself on his full debut. Held the ball up well and always looked to occupy defenders. Worked hard before being taken off in the second half.

Tomer Hemed: 6

Denied on three occasions by Pantilimon, who held Hemed’s overhead kick and kept out a low shot and a far-post header from the on-loan striker.

Olamide Shodipo: 6

Lively after coming on. A welcome return to first-team action after an injury-plagued spell.

Matt Smith: 6

Made an impact after coming on and his aerial presence led to Rangers being awarded a penalty.

Nahki Wells: 4

Oh dear. Came on, blasted over twice and then had a late penalty saved. His loan spell really has petered out.
