Brilliant Hazard savours ‘special’ goal
Eden Hazard described his brilliant solo goal against West Ham as “something special” but was coy about his Chelsea future.
Hazard scored both Blues goals in a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge, lifting his team up to third in the Premier League.
His first goal was sensational, with the Belgian evading four challenges before slotting home.
Speaking to Sky Sports about the goal, he said: “Something special. I take the ball and then when I can go forward I try to go forward.
“In the box it’s hard for the defenders to challenge me, if you touch me it may be a penalty.
“I think I am a bit lucky at the end when I shot. But it was a good goal, to be fair.”
Hazard was also asked about the visiting West Ham fans chanting that he was off to Real Madrid.
“No, they are wrong. Now I’m just focused on Chelsea until the end of the season. We still have a lot to do, and then we’ll see,” he said.
