IBB Polonia London closer to title after two more wins

Volleyball Super League leaders IBB Polonia London are guaranteed at least a silver medal after two away wins over the weekend.

They won in four sets at Sheffield Hallam on Saturday (24-26, 25-22, 16-25, 12-25) and in three against second-placed Durham Palatinates on Sunday (13-25, 19-25, 19-25).

The team return to action on March 30, when they play TeamBU Wessex at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre, starting at 4.30pm. Tickets are available online.

They will face Sheffield Hallam again, this time at the Crystal Palace National Sports centre, on April 14 – and their line-up will include Brazilian legend Giba.

“We are still pushing to finish the season unbeaten and having Giba with us and playing in Crystal Palace will no doubt increase the desire for both teams to perform at their best.” said IBB Polonia London middle blocker. Phil Smith.
