Sarri confident he will keep Chelsea job
Maurizio Sarri says he is confident he will still be at Chelsea next season.
Sarri was reported to be on the verge of being sacked prior to a recent upturn in results and performances.
And there remains speculation that the head coach could be replaced at Stamford Bridge.
However, the Italian insists he is planning to prove his doubters wrong and stay in the job.
“Confident? I was confident in the past and I am confident now. But I want to think only of our performances and results,” he said.
“I am confident, otherwise I am not able to do my work. I have to think this (that he will keep his job) if I want to do my job in the best way.”
Sarri has also revealed that he has been involved in planning Chelsea’s pre-season campaign.
“We were talking about pre-season. We were trying to organise in the best way the next pre-season,” he said.
