Speculation continues over futures of Kante and Hazard
Some of the recent newspaper stories involving Chelsea…
The Sun have picked up on more speculation in France over the future of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
Le10 Sport, one of the French outlets to have repeatedly touted Kante for a move to Paris St-Germain, have declared that his relationship with Maurizio Sarri is “not ideal” and that he could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Chelsea boss Sarri has controversially deployed the France international in a more attacking role and it is claimed this has put his future in doubt.
There also continues to be speculation over the future of Eden Hazard.
Hazard telling French radio station RMC that he has made a decision on his future has inevitably led to reports that he is set to leave Chelsea for Real Madrid.
The Daily Telegraph say contract talks with Hazard, whose current deal at Stamford Bridge expires next year, have not progressed and that he is expected to tell Chelsea he wants to leave.
The Telegraph also believe Real are confident they will sign him but that Chelsea value him at more than £100m despite the fact he will be entering the final year of his contract.
The Daily Mirror ran a similar story, declaring that Real are confident of signing Hazard and are ready to spend £100m.
The Sun went a step further, suggesting that Hazard’s transfer could lead to a number of other deals, including Mateo Kovacic joining Chelsea on a permanent basis and Callum Hudson-Odoi joining Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are among the clubs the Mirror have claimed are involved in a chase for Norwich City’s teenage full-back Max Aarons – a chase apparently being led by Tottenham.
And Joao Felix is among three Portuguese players to be linked with a move to Chelsea.
It comes after a Chelsea scout attended Benfica’s recent game against Sporting Lisbon.
The Sun picked up on a story by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo claiming that Chelsea were watching Benfica duo Felix and Ruben Dias as well as Sporting’s Bruno Fernandes.
