Chelsea transfer gossip: Speculation over Wilson continues

The transfer stories in Monday’s newspapers involving Chelsea…

Bournemouth would sell Callum Wilson for £75m, the Daily Star declare.

It follows reports that Chelsea are willing to pay £50m for the England striker if they are unable to bring in Gonzalo Higuain, who is currently on a season-long loan at AC Milan from Juventus.

Bournemouth have insisted that Wilson is not for sale during this month’s transfer window.

The Star claim that “behind closed doors” the south-coast club say they would listen to offers of £75m.

Meanwhile, Wolves are apparently also interested in Wilson, the Birmingham Mail reports.

Higuan reportedly asks for move

Higuain has formally requested to leave AC Milan, the Daily Mail reports.

The Argentine forward, who played under Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, is said to be pushing for a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Mail say Chelsea are looking to sign him on an 18-month loan and that Alvaro Morata could move to Milan as part of a deal.
