There continues to be speculation over the future of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Mail on Sunday say the England midfielder will ask to leave Chelsea on loan in January “after seeing his gamble to stay at Stamford Bridge backfire under new manager Maurizio Sarri.”

Loftus-Cheek was determined to establish himself as a first-team player at Chelsea this season, having impressed last term while on loan at Crystal Palace, who would like to re-sign him.

He has been overlooked by Blues boss Sarri and faces competition for a place at Chelsea from the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Ross Barkley, Jorginho and Cesc Fabregas.

The Mail on Sunday say that as well as Palace, Everton could be interested.

The newspaper say too that Arsenal “would also be contenders” to snap up Loftus-Cheek if the Gunners sell Aaron Ramsey during the January window.

The Sunday Mirror also reports that former Chelsea man Bolo Zenden believes Eden Hazard needs to move to Spain in order to be regarded as the world’s best player.

Hazard continues to suggest that he could leave the Bridge and join Real Madrid.

Zenden is quoted as saying: “It will be hard for Chelsea to keep him, with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain around.

“He needs a move to Barcelona or Madrid to be up there, classed with the best in the world.

“Yes, he has done it in England. But with that platform of having played for the likes of Barcelona or Real, that is what they look for when they decide the player of the year.”

Sarri wants Genoa’s Poland striker Krzysztof Piatek, it is claimed.

The Sunday Express claim Sarri has made Piatek, 23, his number one target and that the Italian is keen to beat his former club Napoli, who have also been linked him, to a deal.

Piatek would cost £40m, the Sunday Express reckon.

Alex Sandro still being linked

The Sunday Express continue to link Chelsea with Juventus’ Alex Sandro.

The Brazilian was previously among a number of left-backs which Chelsea, who have Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri, were interested in.

The Sunday Express have since carried on linking him with the Blues and Manchester United.

And after reports that Luke Shaw is set to sign a new contract at United, the newspaper declares that Chelsea “will be left to scrap for Alex Sandro” with Paris St-Germain.
