QPR came back from two down to stun Fulham in the west London derby. Here’s how we rated each player in the 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage.

Fulham

Marcus Bettinelli: 6

Badly let down by his defence for both Rangers goals. Produced a decent save to keep out Pawel Wszolek’s low shot in the first half and denied Matt Smith in the second.

Ryan Fredericks: 6

Was given some problems defensively but got forward well, not least when helping to set up the second Fulham goal.

Dennis Odoi: 5

Oh dear. Odoi looked uncertain for much of the second half and his calamitous error, which saw him dispossessed by goalscorer Wszolek, cost Fulham two points.

Tim Ream: 6

Also struggled for part of the second half. Had a good first 45 minutes though, the highlight being an important challenge to deny Wszolek after the Pole had been found by Jake Bidwell’s cross.

Matt Targett: 7

Has been a useful addition for Fulham. The on-loan left-back had plenty of success going forward in the first half, linking up well with Ryan Sessegnon and getting beyond QPR full-back Darnell Furlong with ease.

Tom Cairney: 7

Impressive before going off in the second half. Scored with a fine 25-yard strike and caused Rangers problems with his passing and movement.

Kevin McDonald: 6

Had it all his own way in the first half, winning several challenges and easily picking up space. Rangers made it far less comfortable for him after the break.

Stefan Johansen: 7

Found Cairney in the build up to the opening goal and was at his best during a dominant first half.

Lucas Piazon: 7

Impressive stuff from the on-loan Chelsea man, who helped create the opening goal by winning the ball in his own half and then doubled the lead with an emphatic finish.

Ryan Sessegnon: 7

Like other Fulham players, he enjoyed the first half but faded in the second. For much of the first 45 minutes he had success on the flank and was also a problem for Rangers when he drifted inside, where he popped up to lay on the second goal for Piazon with a deft touch.

Aleksandar Mitrović: 6

Excellent for Fulham since his loan move from Newcastle, but it was a frustrating afternoon for the striker, who was starved of clear-cut opportunities.

Floyd Ayité: 6 

Unable to make much of an impact after coming on. Neither were Sheyi Ojo or Rui Fonte, who were later introduced as well.

QPR

Alex Smithies: 6

Commanded his area well and produced a fine first-half save to keep out a shot from Cairney.

Darnell Furlong: 7

Fulham got the better of Rangers at will on the left flank in the first half, but that was largely down to the ease with which Targett navigated his way past Ryan Manning, who started on the right rather than Wszolek. Furlong had a decent game in his own right and stayed calm when under pressure. On balance, he dealt with Sessegnon well. 

Nedum Onuoha: 7

Another who kept his composure during a first-half spell in which Fulham threatened to run riot. Did well at the back.

Joel Lynch: 6

Has been in decent form lately and it continued with another steady display.

Jake Bidwell: 6

Competed well and created a first-half chance for Wszolek with a cross from the left. Much more effective as a full-back than wing-back, which is to be expected.

Pawel Wszolek: 7

Hesitant in the first half, including when a chance came his way courtesy of Bidwell’s cross. Stuck at it though and secured Rangers’ point by robbing Odoi and scoring with a composed finish. 

Ryan Manning: 6

All over the place for much of the first half, but much more effective when moved inside after that and he contributed with some nice play in attacking areas as Rangers fought back.

Massimo Luongo: 7

His loose pass to Luke Freeman led to Fulham’s first goal, but his overall performance was good – and compensated for the absence of Josh Scowen. He scored his third goal in five matches and created a great chance for Matt Smith before Rangers eventually equalised.

Luke Freeman: 5

Often Rangers’ talisman this season, Freeman had a poor game. He gave the ball away a number of times, including in the build up to the opening goal.

Ebere Eze: 5

Sometimes brilliant with the ball, this game underlined the youngster’s shortcomings without it. Rangers’ problems in the first half partly came as a result of Eze not closing down from the front and he struggled to make an impact before going off. Definitely a learning experience for him.

Matt Smith: 7

Missed a great chance in the second half but it was a committed and persistent performance against his former club. Smith battled throughout and teed up Luongo for QPR’s first goal.

Conor Washington: 6

Involved in some nice link-up play after coming on.

Paul Smyth: 6

Missed a decent chance but was lively after being brought on and certainly played his part in Rangers’ comeback.
