Smith still eyeing play-offs despite Bees defeat
Brentford boss Dean Smith was frustrated after seeing his side lose 1-0 at Millwall but insisted they are still in with a decent chance of making the play-offs.
Smith felt his side deserved at least a point at The Den, where George Savile’s early goal proved decisive.
“The better team got beat today. It’s unfortunate but it happens. It’s all about small margins sometimes,” Smith said.
But he added: “The play-offs are still on. We’ve got three home games and this wasn’t going to define our season.
“We’ve still got a game in hand over a lot of the teams above us, which is on Tuesday versus Cardiff.”
