Heung-Min Son scored twice at Wembley to give Tottenham a third successive Premier League victory.

The South Korean brilliantly rounded Huddersfield keeper Jonas Lossl and slotted home the opener after being put through by Dele Alli midway through the first half.

Son then guided a header into the far corner from Harry Kane’s cross on 54 minutes for his 15th goal of the season and fourth in two matches.

Christian Eriksen hit the post as Spurs dominated – but the visitors did create chances to score including a fierce Tom Ince effort just before Son’s second goal.

Star of the show Son provided Spurs’ first real opportunity when he brilliantly turned his marker on the left and crossed low for Kane to poke straight at Lossl from close range.

Eriksen’s direct free-kick deflected off the head of Steve Mounie and clipped the outside of the post on 19 minutes.

And the Dane should have done better with a low shot straight at Lossl just before Son made it 1-0 on 27 minutes.

Lloris saved well to deny Rajiv van la Parra as Huddersfield lost both Collin Quaner and former Tottenham academy graduate Alex Pritchard to injury before half-time.

Son was brought down in the box with a decent shout for a penalty several minutes before his second strike, but the Terriers could have been level a minute a earlier when Ince beat the offside trap but shot within Lloris’s reach.

Lossl turned a late shot past the post from substitute Erik Lamela but Spurs did enough to cement their place in the top four ahead of a huge Champions League second-leg against Juventus at Wembley next week.

Tottenham: Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Dembele (Sissoko 76), Eriksen, Alli (Moura 83), Son (Lamela 70), Kane.
Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Rose, Wanyama.
